Get Ready to Cruise into 2019

This is our first newsletter for 2019!  As we announced at our Christmas Party, 2019 is a special year for Worldwide. In the fall of 1989 we opened shop in Antibes, France with the crazy, at least at the time, idea of supplying and supporting the fledging MICE market with cruises.  It’s been 30 years and we are still here with that same basic goal of supplying our clients with some of the greatest cruises on earth to their clients for whatever needs they might have.   We are fortunate to have had some of the best customers and friends in the world, some going back almost 30 years, as well as terrific partners from the cruise industry.
 
2019 is shaping up to be another exceptional year for Worldwide and we have many people to thank.   One of the many reasons we have been successful is that Cruising has become wildly popular with more and more of the CEO’s asking for a cruise versus the tired old resort or gaming destinations.  They are the ones pushing for cruise options now.  In 2019 there will be 24 new cruise ships delivered ranging in size from 100 to 5,200 passenger in capacity.  Some will be coming out with new ideas, some will be going to new destinations, some will be expanding on already successful new builds from only last year, but one thing they all have in common is moving forward the entire concept of the cruise experience to new and higher levels.  The total number of beds for 2019 represents an over 7% increase in total fleet capacity with over 100 more ships under construction or under contract.   There is a lot more opportunity and adventure on the Horizon.

Here are some pictures from our Annual Christmas Party. As is our annual custom, we presented Mark Conroy from Silversea our annual award for being a respected leader and supporter of the MICE industry. He is also a good friend and supporter of Worldwide. We also received a wonderful gift from Holland America as we were presented with a ship model for being a valued partner. Special thanks to our clients, Stephano and Darlene, owners of Incentives at Sea from South Africa for attending. Thanks to all of our suppliers and clients locally and from across the country that made the effort to spread some holiday cheer with us and especially those who took red eyes to make it.
