River cruising at all time high

Uniworld reported a 225% increase in charters for the 2019 season. As charters continue to increase on River Ships on a global basis, maybe it’s time you consider a river cruise versus the same old European hotel programs. The river ship industry is evolving FAST, along the likes of ocean cruising with larger staterooms, more dining options, bigger spas and more entertainment options. Plus you get to see a lot more Europe and only pack and unpack once in a week. Chartering is getting easier for periods of less than 7 nights as well. Keep in mind you don’t have to develop a whole series of tours and events with a river ship program as they have already been done for you, and included in most of the prices now. There are over 350 river ships in just Western Europe and Russia alone, being operated by 40 different companies. There are more options than you can even imagine! Call us to find out all the details.

Alaska is the perfect choice for summer groups looking to beat the heat!

Alaska would have been a COOL place to have an incentive group this summer. With the heat waves in both the US and Europe I think your clients might have really appreciated an Alaska cruise! Besides being in the 50s and 60s, the scenery and activities are sure to please most anyone. If you have ever considered having a program with children allowed, this is the place to come. Not only is it educational but must cruise lines are stocked up with their best kids programs for children of all ages and even children specific shore tours on some lines. There are also great group private tour options. Take a peek at some of our recent photos with a client.

INDUSTRY NEWS
The Cuba Fallout

With Cuba closing down, the cruise lines had to scramble to move several ships around. These are mainly older ships that are now doing various shorter itineraries and are also putting pressure on other short itineraries. If you have any last minute, close in groups, there are short cruises in the Bahamas-Caribbean that can be had at real significant savings. Great for a cheap year end sale campaign or any quick sale pick me upper. Call us to find out more.

The outlook at IMEX Frankfort generally was very positive on a global basis. Cruises are enjoying a strong push from countries outside the normal players, being generated by the decision makers versus the planners on a general rule it seemed. If you are finding the same thing and are timid to present a cruise due to lack of knowledge call us we can assist you from start to find finish. Also look for us at our upcoming trade shows.
